Fashion Student Organization Kent State University

Recently, some of the FSO board members got the chance to be a part of a really run event with JoAnn Fabric & Craft Stores. It was the launch party for the new TV series called Project Runway: Threads!

As the Home Offices for JoAnn are in Hudson, they had more than 600 of their employees and guests come to the Civil Theatre in downtown Akron for drinks, mingling and to watch the first episode. We got a chance to work the sign-in tables and meet so many of the wonderful JoAnn employees.

Amy John, the Senior Event Specialist, is a long time friend of FSO and the fashion school in general. We would like to take the time to thank you again, Amy, for letting us be a part of this fun night! It was a blast and we love helping you with these events. Thanks again!

#PRThreads is on Lifetime, Thursdays at 10/9 c.
Excitement because Jess got a coke with Sarah's name on it!

This past weekend, as many of you probably know, was Art of Contrast 2014 for the Fashion Student Organization. Almost 100 student designers & stylists drew inspiration from 4 cities. Paris, Florence, Hong Kong and New York City served as inspiration. Without Borders was created for the fact that these 4 places are study abroad opportunities for students of the Fashion School.

As board members, we were nervous about the show and we weren't sure what to expect, especially because this year was the first time we opened the floor to stylists. We were absolutely. blown. away. We are so floored by the passion and talent of our FSO members. YOU ARE AMAZING.

Again, thank you to everyone who made this show possible. From the volunteers, designers stylist, PR team, and everyone else. Thank you. It's a night we surely won't forget and we hope you don't either.
