This upcoming Tuesday, November 29 is our last FSO meeting of the semester! We’ll be celebrating the holidays with our 2nd annual ugly holiday sweater contest, a performance from The Kent Clarks, and some Insomnia cookies and milk! All the fun plus some special speakers begins at 6pm in the Rockwell Auditorium.
It’s that time of year again; Thanksgiving! I have always enjoyed Thanksgiving because it’s a time to spend with family and friends as well as to eat amazing food, but I think this year is even more special because I haven’t been home since I’ve been in college. Maybe some of you are in the same boat, and therefore this Thanksgiving is even more exciting than most. Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for whatever you have. Since most often we don’t think about all that we are blessed with, this time of year is the perfect time to step back and look at all that you have, whether that be family, friends, shelter, food, etc. Today I am sharing with you some reason why FSO members are thankful this year.
We are so excited to share with you the 2016 FSO Photoshoot! All the photos can be viewed on our Facebook page here, but today we’ll be sharing some of our favorite shots from the shoot.
This year, we set up three different shooting locations, from representing our little FSO family in downtown Kent, a chic black and white shoot at the new gorgeous Architecture building, and a Breakfast Club inspired shoot at the KSU Library.
The greatest part about going to a fashion school would definitely have to be the fashion shows. FSO presented their annual Art of Contrast show Friday, October 21st, and this year’s theme was Works of Art. Designers and stylists were asked to create a look inspired by a work of art. The fashion show was a marvelous success with jaw dropping creations by FSO members. Although what you may not have seen, if you attended the show, was all the work that went from the finished designs to the last model’s walk down the runway. It was my job to get the inside look backstage into all the preparation that went on behind the curtain.

FSO hosted its 2nd Annual Frightful Friday on October 28, 2016. Board members turned the Province Apartments’ Clubhouse into a boo-tiful party setting filled with games, music, and of course, treats!
Shoutout to Public Relations manager Tracie Pfrogner for trick-or-treating guests with her amazing Halloween recipes!
Everyone in attendance got crazy creative in some pretty amazing costumes. Congratulations to our costume contest winners:
First Place: Frida Kahlo
Second Place: Amelia Earhart
Third Place: The Pink Ladies
FSO members and their guests captured in the night in the photoBOOth. Check ‘em out!
No ghost stories were told, but partygoers did gather around the clubhouse couch for a game of Heads Up to end the night. It was fab bonding experience to get to know all the personalities of FSO!
Thank you to everyone who came for creeping it real!
